Rosario Dawson has garnered praise not only for her numerous leading roles, but for her work with a range of influential organizations. In 2004, Dawson co-founded a non-partisan political organization called Voto Latino. Their outreach has targeted youth and helped register over 220,000 voters. Dawson was recently the recipient of a Latino Spirit Award, given to her by Governor Jerry Brown for her contributions to the Latino community and her leadership with Voto Latino.

Dawson is an active board member of V-Day, an organization founded by Eve Ensler, where she travels worldwide to stop violence against women. She is also an honorary co-chair of the Aspen Institute Task Force on Learning and the Internet which examines the tension between openness and safety in online learning.

Dawson also lends her time and efforts by serving on the board of the Lower Eastside Girls Club in Manhattan and is an ardent environmentalist doing work with a variety of organizations including the Environmental Media Association and Global Green. Most notably, Dawson was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award for her valuable contributions to the community and encouragement in getting others involved. In 2012, Dawson was named to Fast Company’s list of "The 100 Most Creative People in Business 2012," an annual celebration of business innovators who dare to think differently.

Dawson made her film debut in KIDS and has since been seen in MEN IN BLACK II, THE 25th HOUR, SIN CITY, RENT, EAGLE EYE, SEVEN POUNDS, UNSTOPPABLE & ZOOKEEPER. She was last seen in the Danny Boyle thriller TRANCE alongside James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel.

Maria Teresa Kumar is the founding President and CEO of Voto Latino and an Emmy-nominated contributor with MSNBC. In 2013, Elle named her one of the 10 most powerful women in Washington, DC. A dynamic community leader, Maria Teresa was named by Hispanic Business among the 100 most influential Latinos in America and by PODER Magazine as one of the 20 most influential Latinos under 40. Fast Company called Maria Teresa one of the top 100 Creative Minds for her work at Voto Latino, using technology, celebrity voices, media and youth themselves to empower a generation of young voters. Under her leadership, Voto Latino has become a key factor in national elections by directly registering over 225,000 new voters and influencing millions more through viral, celebrity-driven campaigns.

Maria Teresa serves on the national boards of Planned Parenthood and the Latino Leaders Network, and is a Hunt Alternative Fund Prime Mover and a Council on Foreign Relations Term Member. She is a frequent guest analyst on NPR and PBS, a recent panelist on Bill Maher's HBO show, an opinion writer for national publications, and a sought after speaker at major conferences including SXSW, NetRoots Nation, Personal Democracy Forum, and TEDx. She started her career as a legislative aide for then Democratic Caucus Chair Vic Fazio, and graduated from Harvard's Kennedy School and the University of California at Davis.

Brandon J. Hernandez

As Director of Local Government Relations for Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Northern California region, Brandon manages relationships with civic and community leaders, and provides strategic direction to help PG&E become the leading utility company in the United States. Brandon spearheaded PG&E's green efforts in San Francisco, including Verde Que te Quiero Verde, which educated the Latino community about the environment and the importance of living green. He's also responsible for bringing solar to prominent San Francisco institutions like the LGBT Center, Project Open Hand, San Francisco Food Bank, and the San Francisco Giant's AT&T Park—the first park in Major League Baseball to go solar! He's been recognized by San Francisco's 7x7 magazine as one of the "Hot 20 Under 40." Brandon also serves as liaison between PG&E and various environmental, LGBT, and Latino organizations.

Alfredo Vidal
Secretary & Treasury

As president of The Vidal Group, LLC, Alfredo has succeeded in both the private and public sectors by crafting valuable solutions to complex issues. He received a BA from Syracuse University in International Relations and Spanish Language, Literature and Culture. and a Master's in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He began his career in government as an ombudsman for the Secretary of State and later became the Director of Finance for the Division of Human Rights. Alfredo has served as Assistant Director of Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs for Governor Cuomo and a Senior Internal Auditor for the Department of Transportation, where he saved the agency thousands of dollars and reorganized divisions. After years in government, Alfredo became an Associate for Weinraub and Ostroff, LLC. and in 2001, he partnered with two former senior Cuomo administration officials to form Brown, Vidal and Weinraub, LLC. It was here that Alfredo worked on health care, casino gambling, small business development and labor issues. He's been the principal owner of the Vidal Group, LLC since 2004 and is dedicated to empowering the Latino community.

Danny Villa
Board Member

Danny Villa is Vice President of Programming & Development for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, where he works with producers, agents and writers to oversee and develop nonfiction programming for the channel.

Prior to joining OWN, Danny was Vice President of Wilmer Valderrama Enterprises, where he developed and produced live-action and animated programming focused on Latino youth-oriented content. He developed several scripted and non-scripted projects at FOX, MTV, Discovery Science, Disney and Nickelodeon.

Prior to OWN, Danny was at MTV Networks for over 10 years in various positions. Most recently, he served as Director of Talent & Series Development, where he cultivated relationships with music artists and celebrities to develop and cross promote MTV programming along with overseeing production of celebrity driven shows.
